Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known in the media as Ashanti was born on 13 October the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Her talent was first noticed as a teen. She signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. Ashanti made an appearance as the Fat Joe's What's Luv? song as well as Ja Rule's Always on Time track both of which were huge hits. When she had Foolish and The What's Luv as the top two songs She became the first woman to record two songs in the Billboard Hot 100 chart top 10 of the United States. The song What's Luv! Tina Douglas her mother is an instructor in dance and Ken-Kaide Thomas Douglas, her father is a former vocalist. She is Kenashia's younger sister. She is the oldest of them all. Douglas is named Ashanti Douglas from Ghana in honor of she was a part of the Ashanti Empire. Women held enormous power and Douglas wanted Ashantis emulated that. Ashanti was an actor on Spike Lee's Malcolm X (released in 1992) and Ted Demme's Who's the Man? There were a few appearances by her included music videos like K.R.S. Act One's MC's"Like They Don't Know" and 8 Off's Ghetto Woman. Ashanti's career as a performer was limited by her inability to achieve commercial success following her being approached by record labels such as Bad Boy and Jive. The singer continued to tour at New York, and she began to hang around with the Murder Inc. studios hoping for a big break. Ashanti initially appeared as a background vocalist in the music video of Big Pun on the song "How We Roll". Other appearances she has made include Fat Joe's"What's Luv?" Ja Rule's "Always on Time" and Fat Joe's What's Luv! The track was a sample of DeBarge's 1983 single Stay With Me in her debut track Foolish. Ashanti released her first album, titled "Ashanti" in 2002 on Irv Getti's Murder Inc. Record Label. The Declaration was the fourth Ashanti studio album, which was made available on the 3rd of June in 2008. Hey Baby (After The Club) was released on radios as well as digital platforms on 16 October. The singer was in the Christmas in the City film as Latasha as Latasha in Army Wives. Aitch was seen wearing the Rock wit U sample in Baby on the 10th day of March 2022.
