Selena Gomez, an actress as well as a performer, has gained a lot of recognition internationally. The Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place is among her top projects. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Born on 22nd July 1992 at Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena's mother was 16 years old at the time she was born. Her first stage work at the age of 9 when she was Gianna from Barney and her Friends. It was one of the kids who played with the world's most famous purple anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena played a role in some episodes of seasons 7 and 8. The time period was 2001 to 2003. Interesting trivia: Demi Lovato, who was a part of Barney's Friends during that time also, was a co-star with Selena. Following the end of the show, Selena Gomez auditioned for several roles in other programs and movies, but she was not as successful. She was given a brief role in the 2003 film Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D Game Over) as well as a role that was similar to Julie from Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire.
